Something fIshy's goin' on here...Got the fishing bug - only instead of using a pole and net, I used glass and a kiln. These are tack fused fantasy scenes of fish and other underwater criters. Since the glass is not taken up to a full fuse, the pieces have alot of texture, and are
rather 3-D.
My fishies incorporate a variety of types of glass, including frit, stringers, noodles, dichroic creatures, and lampworked elements. All the elements are carefully selected and placed in the scene, then kiln fired.
As you my expect, each individual scene is a work of art, and impossible to replicate. If you are interested in something similar to the scenes you see here, drop me an email and we'll see what we can do!
My fishies come in standard frame sizes from around 11" x 17" down to 4" x 6".
As with all glass, and especially the dichroic glasses in these pictures, it is very difficult for an ameature like me to take photographs that do the art justice. I thank you for your understanding.
